Statement of Purpose

TennesseeWhitewater.org was established January 2005 by a small group of active whitewater paddlers as a non-profit, all volunteer resource to meet the paddling needs of Tennessee and surrounding states.

There seemed to be many whitewater enthusiasts throughout Tennessee and surrounding states, but no easy and simple way for them to meet and easily coordinate river trips. The Tennessee Whitewater website and List Server have been created to help paddlers easily and informally meet and go paddle.

There are no formal trip leaders common adventurers getting together with the help of anyone willing to coordinate a trip.

Anyone wanting to paddle can simply access the website, sign up for the List Server and post a message.

There is no formal membership, no membership dues and no newsletter, just whitewater paddlers who want to have fun paddling!
